Not so far out of my comfort zone. Characters except the main are rather thin, and even our MC is more Perks of Being a Wallflower than anything else.

Aug 06, Janet rated it it was amazing. Life is worth living — no matter how horrid it may seem in this moment. They talk about their lives and how neither one of them has a reason to live. That’s how I felt after I finished the book. I feel like these qualities present in the characters are qualities people assume are present in suicidal people, especially teenagers.
Guess what I heard! They decide to take a road trip and visit graves of famous people who have killed themselves–Anne Sexton, Ernest Hemingway, Hunter S. And was excited about! They had the potential to be interesting but they just weren’t, and as much as I tried to be interested in them, or to care for them, I just couldn’t.
It just didn’t work for me as I read it. I wouldnt say I fell in love with any of the characters because But it does mean that the hook gets lost, and that’s a shame.
It certainly isn’t a bad book, though. Want to Read saving…. Told from the point of view of Owen, the story follows four suicidal teenagers who met on a MySpace chat.
I cant think of anything else that is bad. That was how bad these characters were. IMO, they haven’t held up well.

I especially would have loved to have seen what exactly was going on in Audrey’s head, since she baffled me as a character throughout. I felt nothing for none of them.
Maybe I expected a hugely poignant climax or some kind of life-changing epiphany or a huge emotional kick in the albetr. They all learned something just by getting to know each other. The plot is predictable.
